Q:How do you guys get a picture associated with your usernames?

A: At the top of the page, under "Egg Home" you'll see "User Control Panel".
In there, you'll see a tab for "Profile". Click that. And then, on the left side, you'll see "Edit Avatar". Click that. You may upload directly from your compy or copy and paste a URL. Use the "Link Off Site" option for Photobucket and the like. You do not HAVE to type in the dimensions, but if it's different from the one listed, you'll either want to change it, or make sure it's blank when you upload.



Q: I have tried and tried to use the upload feature. I have 3 meg up 1 meg down cable service so I dunno what the problem is. Are there ports on my firewall I might need to open up??

A: Nope... the problem is most likely on our end. Just email me the song and we'll give it a go.



Q: So what is the e-mail addy to upload songs to?

A: aj at eggradio.com, but try The Egg Brain first.


Q: I know I have posted....but up until this post I show a ZERO POST COUNT. WTF?

A: Posts made in the Songs threads do not add to your over-all post count.

Q: Once you rate a song, is that a permanent rating on it?
What if it grows on me and I want to rate it better 6 months or a year later or even the next time I hear it!

A: You can update your rating of a song any (or every) time it comes up. Please note Sancrist's Re-rate the Music promo. He points out that not only CAN you adjust your rating, you SHOULD.

Q. I uploaded a song to The Brain but you didn't play/approve it. What gives? It was awesome!

A. Maybe the sound quality was poor. Maybe the filename was bad. Maybe it just wasn't right for Egg Radio. No hard feelings. Try uploading something else.

You'll note in your User Control Panel on the last tab to the right, you have the option to name "Friends". It doesn't really do much, but it will let you know who among them is online.
Conversely, the "Foes" setting will block all messages from anyone you list there.

BE WARNED - not only does it block their PMs, but you won't see any of their posts, either.

So, don't make AJ your foe just because you think it's funny.

That's the extent of my knowledge, because I don't use it.

Your status changes based on number of posts. I can't tell you exactly at what points the status changes because it's a closely guarded secret and because I don't remember.

Last seen: twisting in a shame spiral

I have to ask, as I recently posted about being in shame over the loss of cool points! Is that an amazing coincidence? or is it somehow designed that way?

The Last Seen is random and changes on each post.
Was it a coincidence? The world will never know.

When I uploaded a song, it was marked as "no" in the "active" column. I can't seem to change it. I'm guessing staff must approve it first?
